My Book: When the Tempest Breaks
An introduction to my current WIP...
My current work in progress is a novel titled “When the Tempest Breaks”…it’s a complete coincidence that the title is similar to the title of this blog…The book is a Thriller with some Sci-Fi elements…I started it in January and have written 6,284 words so far…I hope to finish my first draft by August and have it published by January of 2025…Here is a little blurb:
Tempest Valor had loving parents. But they were taken from her in an instant. Now that she has to raise her little brother, protecting him is what she lives for.
But he’s kidnapped for his power that allows him to heal himself and others. This results in Tempest quickly descending into an insanity that causes her to have trouble discerning what is real and what is fake, making it almost impossible to trust anyone.
But she will do anything to get him back. She will use her powers. She will kill. She will destroy. Anything. But when all is said and done will she ever be able to find peace?
When the Tempest Breaks is about close bonds between siblings, mental health, and the concept of redemption…Things I find very important…Writing it may be going slowly…but I’m hoping that it will be worth it…I will continue posting updates as it continues…
