Book Update: 10,000 Words!!!

Reaching a milestone...

Introduction…

Last weekend…right after I posted last week’s post…I reached 10,000 words on my draft…and I was immensely happy…this is a HUGE milestone…for me at least…it’s really not a lot of words…but…it shows that I’m another step closer to my goal…and because of that…I am excited…

Current Word Count…

I have written more in the past week…not very much…but more…the current count is 10,121 words…that is 2,026 words since my last update…I haven’t been writing much lately due to prom and graduation coming up in the next couple weeks…I currently have very little time to do anything besides school…

What 10,000 Means…

Due to this milestone…I am now between 12.5% and 20% through the first draft…depending on how long it’s going to end up…after reaching this point…I decided…after every milestone…I will do something to plan my next book…this week…I put together a list of my ideas and had my friends vote…of course…they had to vote for one of the ones that I barely knew what I was gonna do with…but that’s okay…I’ll figure it out when the time comes…for those friends of mine who read this…#14 is the winner…and that is how I will be referring to my next book until it has a title…

Current Struggles…

Right now…I’m having some trouble writing my main male character…he feels very wrong to me…it might be the stress of right now and the stuff going on in my life…it might be that I have no clue how to write guys…(if any guys have tips…please share in the comments)…but either way…I’m just trying to write and I’ll go back and edit him later if I have to…

Next Step…

Currently…my only plans are to keep writing as much as possible…once graduation is over I’ll have much time to write…and I will be trying to use it accordingly…
